Dining etiquette

Washoku is one of Japan's traditional cultures. We will teach you the "Japanese spirit" that you should acquire, including not only how to eat kaiseki cuisine, but also how to hold chopsticks and the proper etiquette when invited to a tatami room at home or a restaurant. As the saying goes, "respect begins with eating and drinking," please experience the importance and meaning of being grateful to those who prepare the food, those who serve it, and those who eat and drink with you.

Table Manners

While enjoying a full-course French meal, you will receive a wide-ranging lecture on etiquette that differs from that in Japan, such as how to use knives, forks, and napkins, how to sit on a chair, etc. Another feature of the course is that it includes content that incorporates the unique perspective of Happo-en, which has produced many weddings, such as etiquette when attending a wedding and how to respond to invitations.

*The above is just an example. We also accept tours of the wedding ceremony and reception venues in addition to the etiquette course. If you would like to do so, please contact us in advance.
