Mu-an is a tea house located on the spacious grounds of HAPPO-EN’s Japanese garden. This building has a unique history, as it was relocated from the tea house owned by Yokohama-based silk trader Heihachi Tanaka, who was active from the end of the Edo period into the beginning of the Meiji period.
Tea ceremonies can also be held in this traditional tea house.

Kado

Candy craft experience

Amezaiku, which became popular among the common people in the mid-Edo period, is a traditional Japanese technique of shaping heated starch syrup with scissors. This is an experience where you can actually make a piece of Japanese culture that is popular at festivals and other events.
