About HAPPO-EN

A vast Japanese garden spread across a site of 33,000 square meters. Its history dates back to the Edo period, about 400 years ago. The history of HAPPO-EN began with the existence of this Japanese garden, which shows beautiful expressions throughout the seasons.

A free shuttle bus service is available connecting HAPPO-EN and the Takanawa Exit of Shinagawa Station.

We offer kimono dressing and hair and makeup services for wedding guests by advance reservation. 
Even if you bring your own costume, you can reserve kimono dressing or hair and makeup services only.

Costume rentals are available at HAPPO-EN dedicated costume room, "KOTOHOGI," and affiliated dress shops. We have a wide selection of kimonos, including morning coats and formal kimonos for parents, as well as kimonos for guests.

Facility details

Changing rooms and cloakrooms

We have changing rooms with lockers for men and women in the ANNEX, so even guests coming from afar can travel light.
In addition, luggage other than valuables can be stored at the cloakroom in the main lobby.

Breastfeeding space

We have a nursing/diaper changing space on the 4th floor of the main building. We also have strollers available for free rental in the lobby, so please feel free to ask our staff.

Barrier-free

The entire main building is barrier-free. Dedicated staff will assist wheelchair users with transportation to the gardens, KOCHUAN and Hakuho-kan, and other areas. Wheelchairs are also available for rental. Please have the bride and groom inform the staff in advance.

Family waiting room

We have a waiting room for family members on the 4th floor of the main building. Please relax in the waiting room until the start of the ceremony. Before the ceremony, you will meet the bride and groom and be introduced to their relatives. For guests other than family members, we have a waiting room at each ceremony venue, so please check your invitation for details.

About Accommodation

There are no accommodation facilities within HAPPO-EN. If you would like to stay nearby, we can introduce you to an affiliated hotel at a preferential rate. Please feel free to contact us when making a reservation. If you would like to arrange a shuttle bus, please contact our staff.
