NEW
HAPPO-EN
WEDDING
is coming on Autumn 2025
In the fall of 2025,
Happoen Wedding
You will be reborn.
A Japanese garden with over 400 years of history. We want you to feel closer to the beautiful nature, as it is. Returning to the aspirations of Fusanosuke Kuhara, who established the origins of Happo-en in the Meiji period, we will renovate the space to coexist with nature and continue to become even more beautiful with the passage of time. A new space of celebration where inside and outside intertwine without barriers, and nature and people blend softly together. We hope you will look forward to a new Happo-en wedding.
New Concept

Cherry blossoms and haze in spring.
A cool summer breeze blowing on your cheeks.
Once the autumn leaves and moon viewing season is over,
Migratory birds visit the mysterious winter scenery.
Cultivated for 400 years
Set in a world of ever-changing seasons.
Even as we pile up,
All values and emotions
All-encompassing
Filled with gentle blessings.
Take the best step forward.
In this beautiful world.
Nature Bless You
The season,
Bless you.
New Open
A new stand-alone wedding venue will be born, celebrating the garden seasons. The Christian wedding venue "Celebration Hall -The GARDEN-" will become the new symbol of Happo-en weddings. The light pouring in from the large circular opening in the ceiling is reflected by a water basin like a mirror, blessing the couple with various expressions of light. Located in the city, it is a space where you can feel the light, breeze, and nature, and be your true self. It is the place where you began as a couple, and a place you will want to return to someday. We are making preparations in the hope that this will become a chapel that will continue to be here, and continue to be close to you.
March 1, 2025. The Bridal Boutique KOTOHOGI by HAPPO-EN, the first of its kind by Happo-en, will have its grand opening on Shirokanedai Platinum Street. We will select high-quality bridal attire from Japan and abroad, focusing on rare attire that can only be found here, such as original Japanese attire created from scratch by artisans from a long-established Kyoto manufacturer, and the finest imported dresses. This is a dedicated attire room produced by Happo-en itself for those who will be holding their wedding ceremony at Happo-en. The store name "KOTOHOGI" means "blessing through words," and we hope that you will find a special attire that will be closest to you and bless you on that special day. We will do our best to help you from choosing your attire to the day of your wedding.
Main Lobby
The long-loved Happo-en Main Building will be transformed into a building that gently connects with the garden. The space will be one in which you can feel the Japanese garden, which has more than 400 years of history, in every corner, including the main lobby, which is connected to the garden. The main lobby space, which blends Japanese culture and craftsmanship, befits the concept of "condensing the Japanese aesthetic sense," is imbued with the passion of three of Japan's leading craftsmen, experts in ink painting, kumiko, and woodworking.
New Banquets
Two wedding reception halls have been completely renovated. Both venues face the Japanese garden, and are filled with traditional Japanese beauty and craftsmanship, with the changing seasons of the garden adding color to the space.

Something soft and shining.
We know.
The beauty of the moon when you look up.
We know.
The beauty of the moon looking down is also amazing.
A soft glow colors the surface of the lake.
A gentle breeze, flickering light.
Through the water. Through the wind.
Beauty changes the way things are.
This is a place where Japanese beauty resides.
